And We Will Dance - Paintings

Steve Childs, Director of And We Will Dance, is also a painter. He has been invited to participate in a group art exhibition in Lexington, NC at Davidson County Community College. The opening reception will be January 19th at the Mendenhall Administration Building from 4-6pm. All are welcome. The show will be up until May 22nd. This group of thirteen paintings shows dancers who were part of the inspiration for the film. These are all dance students from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.

This group of paintings (below) are more of Steve's recent paintings he has completed of UNCSA dance students who also inspired him to create And We Will Dance. Many of these paintings, as well as others he is currently working on, will be exhibited in his one-man show this spring in Winston-Salem. Please check back for date and location.
